Where the figures come from
Weights, depths and bag sizes come from university extension services, the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute, the Washington State DOT and supplier pages. The Method page lists every source and the figures we could not confirm. Where a number is uncertain we show a range, not a false precision.
How the site is paid for
Some links to products on Amazon are affiliate links. If you buy through one we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change the quantities we calculate. We are not affiliated with any supplier or retailer.
Editorial standards
Every number on this site comes from a source we read and list on the page or on the Method page. When sources disagree, or when we could not find one, we say so instead of picking a figure. Affiliate links do not change the quantities we calculate, and product links are chosen after the guide has explained what the job needs.
Corrections
If you find a figure that is wrong or out of date, we want to correct it. We update the page, change the date it was last checked, and keep the earlier wording out of the page so nobody acts on it.
